Remembering Ron Lambert As artists we understand that some things do not fade, and fortunately for us memories of Ron Lambert are among those things. To say he was an enthusiastic plein air painter is quite an understatement. His sunny energy radiated through MAPAPA, the entire Eastern Shore art community and to so many of us personally. He was incredibly generous to leave us with so many good memories. His legacy includes being instrumental in starting the annual event, “Paint Snow Hill.” With the help of his closest friends, Bishop's Stock Gallery was able to compile an inventory of Ron's work, and catalog it digitally for posterity. Copies are available on CD at the gallery. And now, Ron’s Memorial Retrospective Exhibition will take place at Bishop’s Stock Gallery in Snow Hill, MD. There will be a First Friday opening on March 7, 2008 from 5 – 8 pm. Except for the First Friday opening, the gallery will only be open Saturdays and Sundays until the show closes on March 30th. The March hours at Bishop’s Stock are 10 - 5 on Saturday, and noon - 5 on Sunday: www.bishopsstock.com Not long after his death in May of 2007, there was an exhibition of the artworks of Ron’s friends at Bishop's Stock. This exhibit included remembrances of Ron by these artists, and you can download a file of the tributes by clicking here.
