Welcome to the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA), a vibrant community of outdoor artists dedicated to the art of plein air painting. Since 2003, we have been fostering creativity and collaboration among painters in the Mid Atlantic region, celebrating the beauty of nature through our shared passion.
Our Mission
At MAPAPA, our mission is to promote the practice of plein air painting while providing resources and support for artists at all levels. We strive to cultivate an appreciation for outdoor painting, enhance artistic skills, and create a welcoming community for passionate painters.
Through exclusive events, local competitions, group paint-outs and educational opportunities, we aim to inspire creativity and elevate the plein air painting experience for both beginners and seasoned artists.
